From regular caravanner,  Dot:

Location & Site:  Situated in the small town of Watlington in the Chiltern Hills, White Mark Farm is situated away from  the main road down a private drive with the Ridgeway path (great for walking and cycling) flanking one edge of the site and fields around the rest.  There are many rabbits in the field next door and Boris the resident cockerel who provides a lovely morning wake up call.  If you are lucky, the local owls will hoot you to sleep in the evening, and watch out for hedgehogs snuffling around your tent in the dark hours.  During the day the Red Kites often circle around the site.  If you bring some meat scraps they soon swoop down to gather the carrion to take it away to eat.  There is a well stocked Co-Op, an Indian restaurant and a fish & chip shop (£5 for Cod and chips) in the high street as well as various markets under the old clock tower.  A short walk away you will find Watlington Hill, managed by the National Trust where the White Mark is located.  It is well worth a gentle amble to go and have a look at the magnificent view from  the top - Didcot can easily be seen.  Dogs are welcome, but please remember to walk your dogs off site and to keep your dogs on their leeds.

Facilities: The site is kept in a lovely clean condition with the grass kept nicely mowed and the leaves cleared in the Autumn.  There is a water point and a recycling area in the camping field as well as in the facilities block.  The site is broken up by 3 groups of trees (which are best not to get caught climbing on!).  There is an adults only area which is bordered by a hedge.  The facilities block is great with 3 washing up areas, 3 showers and 7 toilets.  It does get busy at times but everyone seems to enjoy having a chat whilst waiting their turn if needed.  The water is lovely and hot and there is a nicely placed mirror next to an electrical socket to dry your hair after having a shower.  There is a fridge, kettle and microwave available for you to use at no extra cost.

In Reception you can buy essentials - milk, eggs, books, gas, ice creams, sweets, chocolates, post cards, BBQ charcoal, jams & marmalade, and the most amazing home made rock cakes as well as other cakes all baked from eggs from Debbie's hens.

Debbie & Ken are great.  We have been going to White Mark Farm for many years now.  We find them always very warm, welcoming and happy to help.  Nothing is an issue, but if you do find yourself with a problem go and have a chat with them - everything can be resolved with no great issues.  White Mark Farm won best CS for families in 2014 - an accolade very well deserved in my opinion.  We always return very rested and are always sad to be leaving.

Been staying here couple of times a year for several years now.  Debbie & Ken are always friendly and helpful.  The facilities block is fabulous and it is a lovely quiet site.

This was my last camping outing of the 2016 season.  Thank you very much for making it a very comfortable stay.  You have a beautiful place here and have thought of everything.  I have never stayed at a campsite before that has provided a fridge, microwave and kettle before.  Wow!  I really enjoyed having breakfast and experiencing the spectacle of beautiful red kites swoop down and feed on the lawn.  Your website promised red kites, and the site delivered them.  Incredible birds.  Thank you again, keep up the good work.

Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed staying on your site.  Location was great, views spectacular and we've never seen so many red kites so close up.

Site facilities were excellent and the site was a testament to all the obvious hard work you put in.  See you again.
