Camping and Caravanning in Oxfordshire

If you're in search for the perfect spot for a fun-packed camping or caravan getaway, Oxfordshire ticks all the boxes.

Watlington holds the title of England's smallest town and is surround by pleasant, unspoiled countryside. The town itself is home to numerous buildings of historic interest (from the 15th, 16th and 17th century in particular).

There are a number of excellent campsites within easy reach, including White Mark Farm. The site gets its name from the distinctive triangular mark which was carved into the chalky hillside above Watlington in the 18th century. When seen from the Oxford road it is said to resemble a steeple to the church tower!

If you're fascinated by nature, you'll be keen to learn that red kites were introduced to the area around 25 years ago and have since successfully bred; there are around 1000 pairs today. These graceful birds of prey can often be seen soaring overhead. The red kite is instantly recognisable thanks to its distinctive forked tail and vibrant reddish brown colouring.
